As the sun sets, the ocean transforms. Marine life behaves differently, nocturnal species emerge, and familiar dive sites take on a completely new atmosphere. As a PADI Night Diver Specialty Instructor, you will be qualified to teach your students how to safely explore this unique environment using dive lights, navigation techniques, and specialised procedures.
This course allows you to guide divers through one of the most fascinating experiences in diving—observing marine life that is rarely seen during the day and understanding how the underwater world changes after dark.

Night Diving Around Koh Tao
Koh Tao is an ideal location to teach night diving. With calm conditions, accessible dive sites, and diverse marine life, it provides the perfect environment for conducting safe and engaging night dives.
Local dive sites offer excellent opportunities to observe nocturnal behaviour, from hunting predators to hidden reef creatures emerging after sunset. As an instructor, you will learn how to plan and conduct night dives effectively, ensuring your students feel confident, safe, and comfortable in low-light conditions.
You will also teach the use of specialist equipment, including dive lights and backup systems, as well as navigation techniques and environmental awareness to minimise impact on sensitive marine life.
