MSDT • PADI Equipment Specialist Specialty Course Koh Tao, Thailand
Course Price: 3,000 THB
It happens to all divers at the most inconvenient times, normally just before a dive. The disappointment of a torn or missing ‘o’ ring, BCD dump-valve jammed open or a broken mask or fin strap.
There are many reasons why you may want to carry out minor repairs or adjustments on scuba diving equipment, even if it’s to help student divers feel more comfortable and protect the investment made in expensive scuba gear.
As a PADI Equipment Specialist Specialty Instructor you will teach your student divers about routine care, maintenance and proper storage of scuba equipment. You will show them how to overcome common equipment problems and offer alternative equipment configurations.
Equipment Specialist considerations diving around Koh Tao
Koh Tao is the world’s number one scuba diver certifying and training location. This adds up to a lot of student divers who use a lot of scuba diving equipment every day.
As a PADI Equipment Specialist Specialty Instructor working at a busy location such as Koh Tao, it’s imperative to have a good understanding of how to help student divers overcome equipment configuration and maintenance problems.
However, being able to correctly identify and provide fixes and solutions to equipment problems applies to every dive professional. At any location, if you use scuba diving equipment, its essential you have a strong, safe understanding and knowledge of how it works.
Never again will you have to abort a dive because of a burst ‘o’ ring, leaking Low Pressure Inflator, Free Flowing Regulator or a broken strap.
