Learn to teach your divers how to breathe easier in the event of an emergency.
As a scuba diver – and especially one that is Rescue level or above it is imperative you are trained in the use of providing emergency oxygen.
As an Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor you will be able to teach your divers how to recognise and treat conditions that require the provision of Oxygen, meaning they can be the best buddy possible in the event of an accident.
As an EOP Specialty Instructor some of the things you will teach your students include:
- How to recognise diving illnesses treatable with Oxygen
- Assemble & disassemble emergency oxygen equipment
- Use a pocket mask on a non-breathing diver
- Deploy a non-rebreather mask & a demand inhalator valve on a breathing diver
- The hazards of using Oxygen
As well as the divers and Divemasters you train, boat captains, deck hands, lifeguards as well as other staff working at the dive centre will look to you to keep their first aid, CPR and O2 skills sharp.
