Course Price: 3,000 THB
Would you like to teach your students more about the marine ecosystem and ensure you can answer all their questions on subjects such as the different aquatic life groupings and how they interact with one another?
Would you like to have the knowledge to ensure your student divers really understand what they observe in the underwater environment?
Diversity of Life around Koh Tao
Koh Tao boasts an array of diverse marine life and has a variety of dive sites from shallow reefs to deep granite pinnacles. There are plenty of ideal dive sites for you to conduct this popular PADI Specialty.
The PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty course can be scheduled over 1 day. You will teach your students how to view aquatic ecosystems objectively and help them to understand the intricate interactions and relationships between marine organisms.
The PADI Underwater Naturalist specialty course requires your students to identify 2 types of aquatic plants, 4 types of vertebrates and 4 types of invertebrates as well as locate and identify a number of inter-relationships demonstrating symbiosis.
Throughout the course you will discuss signs of human effects upon the environment and teach your students how to demonstrate minimal passive and responsible interactions and the necessary diving techniques that will enable them to do this.
Who can enrol on the PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty Instructor course?
A renewed PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI)
Note: IDC/OWSI candidates may participate in the PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty Instructor training course but may only apply for Specialty Instructor certification after passing an IE.
